Quick Hunt

Just an hour or so at the sports ground again today,
after some fathers day shopping at the warehouse.

Thought, seeing the sun was out today, i wouldn't bother wearing a jersey.
Stupid mistake - lol. Nose running, almost shivering within half an hour from the cold wind.

I tried a different area today during the short time i was there,
and again pulled another 1800's coin, so im definitely going to spend a day here,
when im a little more prepared for the weather ;)

  1. Yup, looks like a very promising spot!

Low and slow and keep an ear out for any clean but faint and "hollow" sounding tones from the AT. These mean deep targets that normally turn out to be something good like old silver.

    Good luck!

  2. Well done, it takes a while to become 'one' with your machine, I've had mine for over a year now and I'm just at the point where I can call just about every target. As a famous Jedi once said..'use the force, Luke'. your brain is a much more powerful processer than the machine , trust your instincts and you will be successful. Be particular with all those signals that are 'iffy' digggem anyway, in fact I would recomend you dig everything not registering as iron to start with. Go low and slow and go over every target north, south, east and west just to make sure you have a repeatable signal.

  3. Cheers for the tips fullas.

After finding the those last silvers, i mucked around a bit with them sitting on the surface, and noted the numbers can change from 75/80 down to 60/65 with in a couple centimeters of depth. Makes me re-think about discriminating numbers out, and start digging everything again - lol :-)

  4. VDI's will normally be lower the deeper the target. The only thing I discriminate out with the AT in parks and dry sand is the very first notch 40-45. This will get rid of the alum pop-tops that sound so promising but I do run a risk of not hearing very small gold (earing studs etc). Everything else the brain discriminates from the sounds in Pro mode. Oh - and Iron Audio notched out to 35.
