Spent this afternoon at the picnic area coin shooting in the dirt again. $32 in goldies, 28cents old NZ and a 1953 Penny. Good fun :)
The little 925 only just fits past the outer joint of my pinky.
To all those heading out in the weekend, GL and HH! :)
Unusual little ring. Must have had a big stone - opal maybe.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, now ya mention that, i dunno why i didn't think to hunt round in the dirt when i dug it out. Spot the rookie ;) lol!
ReplyDeleteOr perhaps it could have been a Hair ring with a lock of usually a child's hair behind a clear lenz.
ReplyDeleteGood amount of goldies you got there. I havnt even come close anywhere Ive been. I did find a gold pocketwatch in a park in the Linwood area yesterday though, the inside was rusted damnit. What sort of pinpointer do you use? Is it worth getting one?
ReplyDeleteHi Chris. Ive been meaning to answer your posts in the gold forum about pin pointers. I priced getting 2 in from Kellyco from the states after i read your posts, and it would work out about $200 NZ each one including the shipping. I haven't used any other sort of pinpointer, as i bought the garrett propointer with my ATPro, so cant suggest a cheaper one sorry.
ReplyDeleteFrom what i've seen, you can get away without using one, but once you've used one, i can tell ya, its annoying digging holes without one ;) When my battery went flat last week in the pinpointer after about 15mins, i packed it all back in the car and went and bought a new battery, then went back and continued the hunt ;) lol
