Sports Ground Hunt #1

Here is the keepers for the day, and at some point ill add a trash pic from today,
as it was a little more interesting that the normal bottle caps and pull tabs...

Ended up finding that small silver i was after, and although not a NZ one, ill take it all the same.
The two shillings were about 5 cm apart, and the two silver British coins had 50 meters between them.

I can barely make out the date of 1856 (maybe 58) on the 3pence, its quite worn down,
but this is my oldest coin to date found, and beats my previous oldest, by 15 minutes,
which was the the 1874 sixpence ;)

  1. Good going on the silver. The Sixpence and Thrupence are both 90% silver compared to the later NZ ones of 50%. And congrats on breaking the 150 year mark!
