$14 on the 14th

I've not had any interesting finds since my last post. Been out 7 times, and found a total of $30 in clad, 9 pennys, 3 half pennys, $1-ish of old NZ coins, few keys, and a heap of trash! lol ;)

Todays finds were from a park i havent tried before...

1922 is the date on the penny. I will be having a proper look (not just goldie shooting) over the next few days, and it will hopefully produce some coins of the silver kind once i turn off the discrim again ;)

HH all :)

Oh btw - Does http://metaldetectingnz.blogspot.com/ work for anyone else? Or is it just me thats blocked from viewing it?

Treasure Hunting in Oxford

Noticed a members post on the gold forum this afternoon, and decided to head out to Oxford to help search for a lost engagement ring. No luck in finding the ring, but the exercise, meeting up with 3 other detectorist's, and an alright goldie count made it a great afternoon out ;)

Suppose i should have really re-buried this one, ahwell ;)

Another morning in Hagley

Spent another morning in Hagley Park. Tried a different area that i haven't swung in before, and it ended up making my list of "To go back to's" in the near future.

Ended up with 5 Pennys, 1949 Half Crown (a silver one still eludes me!), 1 half penny, 1987 2 pence, $6.20 in clad, about $1.22 in old decimal NZ coins, 2 silver shillings (1934 and 1940 NZ ones), a 925 stamped ring, and a neat badge with a crown in the middle and National Reserve NZ Railways around the outside.

HH all :)
